BUT,EAGER TO RESUME WORK. (Rec. March 11, 5.5 p.m.) Washington, March 10. Mr. Samuel Gompers, president of the American Federation of Labour, has been a hospital patient for four days. He is slowly recovering /from influenza and bronchiel pneumonia, according to a physician’s bulletin, which was the first announcement of his illness. His recovery will bo slow, because of his age, 73 years, but Mr Gompers is restive under the enforced confinement and is eager to resume work.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
