PORTION OF WORKHOUSE BURNED DOWN (Rec. March 12, 0.35 a.m.) London, March 10. Armed men burned down two wings of the Devlin Workhouse, after giving the occupants ten minutes to clear out. The Rickerstown- viaduct, on the Dundalk-Greenoro railway, was blown up by a land mine. Tlie explosion was heard ten miles away.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. REBELS PREPARE TO BURN HOUSE OF COLLINS’S SISTER. (Rec. March 10, 5.5 p.m.) London, March 9. A Free State commandant, when visiting Mrs. Powell, a sister of tho late- Michapl Collins, in Cork, found that Irregulars were in possession, and that they lied saturated the house with petrol, ready for burning. The commandant was scriou dy wounded. One of the Irregulars was captured; the others escaped in a motor-car. — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
