ANNUAL CONFERENCE. The annual conference of the Now Zealand Federation of Master Painters, Decorators and Signwriters was continued yesterday. After a considerable amount of discussion on the “paint-un campaign,” during which the Auckland delegates complained that reflections hnd been ca«t on their association, it was decided ft o delete from a report words objected to as offensive. It was decided to draw up a new set of rules to be printed and dirciulated among members of federated associations- Endeavours are to bo made to get Parliament to pass an Act for the compulsory registration of master painters. A resolution was passed to the effect that the powers of sanitary inspectors be enlarged to allow of the inspection of old scrim and paper work.
