RECORD, Motor Beach Racing has been developed to a very high stage in New Zealand, and the results may be taken as authoritative tests for riders’ skill, motor spirit, and machines. Notwithstanding bad conditions, the 18-Mile Record was smashed on the Brighton Beach Track, Christchurch, the nfew time being 1 minute 28 seconds less than the preAnous record, the successful rider frankly stating that his success was largely due to Meteor Motor Spirit. Commenting on the race, the winner, Mr. Geo. 'Lambert, who rode a 7-9 Indian, seated that the remarkable difference in time was largely due to the quick “pick-up” and extra power of Meteor Motor Spirit. The performance was all the more meritorious because the previous record was established over a 2-mile course with only seven turns, the time being 17 minutes 33 seconds.
