f ACCUSED WOMAN REFUSED BAIL. (Rec. February 7, 9.50 p.m.) Melbourne, February 7. Application for bail on behalf of Hannah Mitchell, arrested in connection with the Yarra tragedy, was refused, the police stating that the accused would injure herself to frustrate justice.—Press Assn. [The decapitated body of Bertha Goughian was found in a bag in the Yarra a few days ago, the head being found in a second bag. Subseauently Hannah Mitchell. Margaret Mitchell, and Margaret Milward were arrested, the first-named on a charge of murder, and the other two with being accessories after the fact.]
