February 7, 7.15 p.m.) London, February 6 Mr. Justice Horridge granted a decree nisi to the wife of Arthur 'Tickler, the son of a London jam-maker, on the ground of his cruelty and misconduct with Lady Doughty, widow of Sir George Doughty. ■ Counsel stated that the parties were married in 1907, had four children, and were happv till. Tickler began his association with Lady Doughty m 1920. Counsel read a .series of ardent love letters from Lady Doughty to the respondent. One, written m May, 1921: “My precious love, why is there even a cloud in the divine sky of our glorious devotion ? Dearest, we love in a way no one could measure, or weigh, or remotely realise. You are the sunlight of my heart,’the heaven of my dreams. You are the star to which I hitch my wagon. Let us live for each other’s good.
