NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL . CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING ARRANGEMENTS i A meeting o f the New Zealand Council of the Amateur Athletic Association liras held last night. There were present: -Messrs. EVENING SPORTS MEETING

The evening flports meeting were continued yesterday .at .Kelburn Park, when a series of events were got off under the control of the Victoria College Chib. The day was cold, with a strong wind blowing,'.which, precluded all possibility of fast times being-regis-tered. During the latter portion of the three miles race driving rain commenced to fall. The 100yds. events were run against the wind. Despite those disadvantages some very good races eventuated, and Barclay’s performance in winning the three miles off sixty yards in lomin. 55 4-oscc. was a particularly meritorious one.
