'[’he Wellington Homing Pigeon Society has now commenced tho races for voting birds. The first race was held from Hunterville on Saturday, with the following result: — Hunterville, 1014 miles, 123 birds. Yds. per minute. 1 Mr. R. Hastie’s blue ch. cock 1177 2 Mr J. Bruce’s blue ch. hen .. 1170.4 3 Mn A. Lamb’s black ch. cock 1170-1 4 Mr. J. H. Clark’s blue ch. cock 1167 5 Mr. Whittington’s bl. ch. qock 1164 6 Mr. E- Newson’s red ch. cock 1157 The winner receives the tropji.v donated by Mr. T. Ronayne, patron of the S °From now on until April 5 the club will be holding races each week.
