BRITISH COAL
OUTPUT IN RECENT YEARS. England raised in 1913, 287,000,000 tons (in round figures) of coal,- of which thov exported no loss than 73,000,000‘t0n5. In point of output they were, and are, only exceeded by the'United States of America. The output for the year 1919 fell to 229,702,000 tons, and there were available for export, after homo needs and foreign bunks had been supplied, not more than 33 350.000 tons. The output for 1921 was 105.200.000, of which not more than 24,600,552 tons were available for export.
