4 ISOLATED BY AMERICAN DOCTORS (Rec. February 4. 5.5 p.m.) New York, February 3. The Rockefeller Institute announces that two of its staff. Drs. Frederick Oats and Peter Olitzkv, have succeeded in isolating tho . influenza germ. Experiments in antidotes and antitoxins are now progressing. Ihe germ is called bacterium piieumonsintes, be? cause it weakens tho lung tissues. It is so small that it requires to be magnified one thousand times before it is visible. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
