LAWTON’S SUSPENSION
ACTION BY OXFORD FOOTBALL CLUB BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. (Rec. February 4, 5.5 p.m.) London, February 2. A meeting of the Oxford University Football Club passed a motion of confidence in Major Stanley, in view of attacks made on him in the Press. Another resolution asked the Rugby Union -to allow the club to appear before a sub-committee in order to arguo and defend Lawton's case. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
