DESTROYER TANK
POWERFUL NEW WAR ENGINE SUBMARINE CAPABLE OF FLYING BY TELEGBAPH.—PBESS ASSOCIATION. —OoPYBIGHT. London, January 19. Tho “Daily Chronicle’s” aeronautical correspondent says that in the secluded workshops of the Government’s Research Department the Department has devised a destroyer tank, which will swim with the Fleet, yet fly in the air at a high speed, and can be used as a submarine, if necessary. These uncanny monsters, which are called “tossaurians,” will develop 3000 horsepower. With the aid of great pneu-matic-tired wheels they can also rush like supertanks up a beach, and thus tight under four conditions—on tho surface of the sea, on la.id, in the air, and under water. —Aus.-N.Z.
