"BRAN PIE”
“Bran Pie,” presented by J. C. Williamson Ltd., with Miss Lee White and Mr. Clay Smith as the stars, continues on its sucessful way at the Grand Opera House. For this it is indebted to the wonderful personality of Miss Lee White. The dancing of Miss Maio Bird and Mr. Archie Thompson is another distinct feature of the evening’s entertainment, as also is the presence of Lance Lister, Ernest Sefton. and Miss Zoo Wenko. To-morrow afternoon there will be a matinee of “Bran Pie.” -On Monday evening “The Boy for the Girl,” a London musical comedy success from tlie Duke of York Theat’re, will be played for the first time in New Zealand. This musical play had an exceptionally fine run in London, and again in Australia scored everywhere an instantaneous hit. The play is full of novelty, delightful dresses, gorgeous settings, and many of Lee White’s most popular numbers, including “I Never Realised.” “Where There’s a Girl There’s a Boy,” and a big success, “He's Coming Home.’’ The box plans for the balance of the season open this morning at the Bristol.
