A number of farmers who attended the Ashburton saleyards ‘the other day (states the ‘Guardian”) apparently too engrossed in the prospects of the market, left the tires of their motor-cars unprotected from the fierce blaze of the sun, with tho result that whcfi the sale was over, two or three hours later, fully half a dozen farmershad to change "their tires, tho heat having been too much for the inflated tubes to bear.
