PAHIATUA MEETING HALLOWROZ TAKES THE HANDICAP. Bt Telegraph.—press association. Pahiatua, January 10. ■ The Pahiatua Racing Chib’s annual meeting was held to-day in showery weather before a fair attendance. Iho totalisator handled £12,226, against £15,408 last year, a decrease of £3182. Loyal Maid, in the Makuri Handicap, fell, and the jockey, A. Dixon, of Hastings, sustained concussion, a scalp wound, and a bruised back, .and was unconscious when picked up. He was removed to the hospital, where he re- ' gained consciousness.
