LAMBS’ KIDNEYS

MEAT IMPORTERS PROTEST

BUYERS EXPECT LOSSES TO BE MADE GOOD

BV TELEGUAPH.—I’RESS ASSOCIATION. Christchurch, January 10

Tlie following cable has been sent by the British Incorporated Society of Meat Importers to the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, relative to the question of kidneys in frozen lamb: — “Referring to your cable of January 5, you are making change in established custom of dressing lamb against the concerted opinion ot the trade, both wholesale and retail. If you pursue this course, the responsibility is yours. Buyers expect you to make good all losses caused them by your arbitrary action. We utterly fail to understand why you should order this change against the unanimous amt strongest protests of the trade, who have been buyers of New Zealand lamb for many' years.”
