Ex-policeman and miner J. W. Van Rooyon, the Springbok, who was awarded the special trophy for best forward in the third (Test matqh in the 1921 season, has joined the Hull (England) League team. W. Bowen, of Wales, is the only “big” Welshman to succumb to the golden temptations' of the T/engue. Mr. Richard Coombes, the Australian member of the Supreme Olympic Council, and president of the Amateur Athletic Union of Australia and New Zealand ever since' its inception, will visit New Zealand some time this month.
