BY TSLEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. —COPYRIGHT. It is announced that the Chang Chun (Manchuria) Conference, between Japan, the Soviet, and the Chita Government, has broken up. The French Government has arranged with the Peninsular and Oriental Company to carry mails to India, Australia, and the East during the seamen’s strike. A message from Arcadia, California, states that army dirigible C2, using helium gas, has completed its transcontinental fight begun on September 14. No attempt w’as made to establish records. Owing to a strong wind a whaleboat, conveying parts of the Lick Observatory expedition’s five-foot and fifteen-foot Einstein cameras from Wallal to the schooner Gwendoline was swamped in shallow water, a Perth message states. No serious damage was done. It is reported that all the parts were recovered.
