The Washington correspondent of the “New York Times” reports that thdl latest official Naval Intelligence Department’s survey of the increase in the naval programmes of the five Towers signatory to the Washington Naval Treaty shows that Japan has building and projected more ships of unrestricted types than auy other Power. Tho types are: — I. —First lino light cruisers. 11. —Destroyer loaders. '■ 111. First lino destroyers. IV. —First lino stibmarines. V. —Fleet submarines. Ships in these categories now building by the different Powers are: —
