EDUCATION BOARD ELECTION
THE NOMINATIONS. Nominations closed last evenipg for the ordinary election to, fill vacancies in the Education Board created by effluxion of time. The following nominations were received: — > Wellington City Urban Area (Two Seats). —Clark, James John (present member); Forsyth, Thomas (present member); Hennessey, Laurence j Walsh, Michael. Hutt-Petone Urban Area (One Seat). —London, George T. (present member) . Hutt-Horowhenua Ward of the Rural Area (One Seat). —Harkness, Charles Irvine (present member). Wairarapa Ward of the Rural Area (One Seat). —Grundy, William Thomas (present member). Marlborough Ward of th© Rural Area (One Seat). —McCallum, Donald; Whiteford, Charles Frederick Alexander.
All the present have been nominated ' for re-election except Air. R. McCallum. AI.P., representing ATs-rlborough, who has declined nomination.
Messrs. London, Harkness, and Grundy are thus re-elected, and contests will be held in the Wellington city urban areas and; tlie Alarlborough ward of the rural area. The electors are the members of the respective committees, and these are supplied with the necessary voting papers through the chairman of each. The day 1 - ,of the eletcion is July 19, and the count of votes is a fortnight later.
