Tho Defence Department advises that No. 11484 William Johnston, who prior to enlistment in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, was a member of the Public Works Department, died at Trentham on Saturday, as a result of war service. The funeral is timed to leave Wilson’s mortuary chapel at 1.30 p.m. to-day. 3’ho soldier’s birthplace was Brunnerton, and his relatives are now residents of Greymouth.
