Some dairy farmers from the Wairarapa who were in town on business yesterday, in discussing they big rise in the price of butter on the London market, stated that omo firm of buyers “cleaned up” well,, having purchased 50,000 boxes of butter (each containing 561 b.), at from Is. 2d', to Is. 4d. per lb. Assuming a profit of 3d. por lb. is made out of this deal the tidy sum of £30,500.
