Prominent men of all views are working together to ensure the success of this great Irish athletic event. It is the earnest desire of all that thia common platform on which all Irishmen mav moot should continue to be nonpolitical. The promoters suggest the formation of committees in each country to procure capital to send competitors to Ireland. The promoters cannot defray any travelling or other expenses, but the transport sub-committee is engaged in obtaining concessions from shipping companies and railways. The competitions are open to all amateurs horn in Ireland, to those one of whose parents was born in Ireland, or to those two of whose grandparents on one side were born there.”
