STEAMERS IN COLLISION

A collision occurred nt 6.15 p.m. on Saturday in the harbour between the Gisborne Sheep Fanners’ Tiroa and tho ferry steamer Peregrine. The Tiroa was outward bound to Gisborne, and had to put back to the wharf with her stern broken : she is not making any water. The Peregrine’s starboard belting was damaged, but she was able to continue in her running.
