The Hon. C. J. Parr, Minister of Health andTCducation, who has been visiting too North Auckland district, is due to return to Wellington to-day. Mr. Justice Chapman arrived from Christchurch yesterday.

Dr. A. D. S. Whyte, medical officer of Hqalth for Dunedin, has resigned in order to enter into private practice. Mr. AV. H. AVorsley, who is retiring after 22 years’ service as headmaster at the Hamilton AVest School, was given a farewell in the Theatre Royal nt Hamilton on Wednesday, and made the recipient of valuable and useful presents.

Dr. C. A. L. Davies, assistant medical officer of Health for Auckland, has resigned from the Health Department, as he is entering into private practice. Ho is a native of AVellington, and joined tho Health Department shortly after the termination of tho war.

Owing to ill-health, which necessitated his going into hospital Mr. AV Mead has resigned his position of caretaker of the Tongariro National Park. The Tourist Department has appointed a IMount Cook guide, Mr. Cowley, to the position of caretaker ot the park temporarily, and he has arrived in AVaimarino to take over Ins duties.
