At golf Cambridge beat Oxford by three foursomes and five singles to two foursomes and five singles. Tolley was brilliant. In partnership with Wimble he defeated Longbourne and Goadby, 12 up and 11 to play. He beat Prpwse, Cambridge’s captain, in the singles, d up and 2 to play, after a keen struggle.
