MUNITIONS BONUS
IN ENGINEERING AND SHIPBUILDING INDUSTRY DISPUTE REGARDING WITHDRAWAL By Telegraph —Press Association —Copyright (Rec. October 7, 5.5 p.m.) London, October 7. The negotiations between the engineering and shipbuilding trade unions and the ■ Employers’ Federation on the question of the withdrawal of the munitions bonus of 121 per cent, for time workers and 7) per cent, for piece workers have reached a deadlock. The employers proposed to withdraw ihe bonus in tour instalments, completing the withdrawal on December 24. The unionist delegates rejected the proposal. The employers are adamant that, the cuts shall bo completed before Christmas, and threaten to withdraw the bonus in full immediately, failing an agreement.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
