REVOLUTIONARY SPIRIT AT DARWIN
DRASTIC REPRESSIVE MEASURES CONTEMPLATED. Melbourne, September 16. Senator Poyntijn has announced that drastic steps are contepiplated to check the revolutionary spirit ,manifested at Darwin, such as refusal to pay taxes, organised disturbance of public meet-' ings, and terrorism of witnesses and juries. The Government proposes to suspend trial by jury except in capital offences, and deport to other parts of Australia, people not paying their-taxes. —Press Assn. ,
