OLD NAVALS RIFLE CLUB

ANNUAL AIEETING. Tho annual meeting of the .Old Naval Defence Rifle Club was held in the Boating Society’s rooms on Thursday- night. Deputy-President R. Pringle occupied the chair, and there was a fair muster of members? Tho annual report, which was adopted, showed the state of tho club's affairs to be highly- satisfactory. The number of competitors during last season was greater than previously, and the shooting was of a higher standard. Before the business of tho evening was commenced, regretful reference was made to tho death of the club’s late president, Mr. J. Al'Rabe in June last. During the past season a very fine Atemorial Cup was presented to the club by the family of the late Colonel John Duncan. This cup is one of Ihe finest in the city, and will bo fired for annuallv as a challenge cup in memory of the.club’s old friend. The election of officers for tho ensuing year resulted as follows:—President Air. F. E. Franklyn; deputy-presidents, Messrs. R. Pringle and J. Alexander; lion, secretary, Air. D. Alabaster; assistant hon. secretary, Air. J. Pett; h°ntreasurer. Air. J. Alexander; committee, Messrs. 11. Collins. E. Rees. C. Al Dona .d, T. Deli, F. Stamlidge: union delegates, Messrs ’ Franklvn, Pringle, and Alabaster; handicapper, Air. R. Pringle; Selection Committee, Messrs. Iranklyn, Pringle, and Alabaster; auditor. All. li. Guise. , .
