According to a wireless message received bv the Union Company, the Waikawa. should arrive from Auckland at daylight to-day. She has San Francisco cargo for discharge, and should sail on Tuesday for Lvttelton, New Plymouth and Melbourne. FROM PACIFIC PORTS. The Waihemo is expected to leave Sen Francisco about the middle of September for Auckland, Wellington, and Australian ports. She will be followed bv the Waiotapu, sailing from San Francisco toward® the end of September. The WaimarlnO' is expected to leave San Francisco early in November for Auckland and Wellington. SHIPPING FALL-OFF. In his report for August submitted to the Auckland Harbour Board this week. Captain H. H. Sergeant (harbourmaster) stated that as compared with the corresponding period of last year the large; shipping shows a decrease of 33,384 gross, tons and 18,949 net tons, but owing totho abnormal rush in shipping during thesame period last year, when vessels werein the stream awaiting berths, it wan. impossible to make a reliable comparison. Gibbons. harbourmacter at Manukau. KUMARA DELAYED. The S.S. and A. liner Kumara is now to leave Auckland on Tuesday for B ellington, and is duo here on Thursday. Her future movements have not been definitely settled. DORSET DUE TODAY. The Dorset is due from New Plymouth to-day, and is to sail on Wednesday for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. She is to sail from the last-mentioned port for London and Liverpool. SUSSEX AT MONTREAL. The New Zealand Shipping Company have received advice that the Sussex arrived at Montreal from the United Kingdom on September 13 to load for new Zealand ports. TAHITI FROM SAN FRANCISOO. The R.M.S. Tahiti is due in the stream from San Francisco, via Rarotonga and. Papeetea at seven o’clock this morning. She is to leave for Sydney at 5 p m on Monday. THE -CANADIAN PIONEER. The Canadian Pioneer is reported as having sailed from Montreal on beptemb'er 8 for Australasian ports. She is du» at Auckland towards the end of November and at Wellington a week later. KUROW FROM NEWCASTLE The Kurow is due on Tuesday from Newcastle with coal and general cargo, and is to sail on Wednesday for, Picton and New Plymouth. KAWATIRI LAID UP. Sydney, September 16. Owing to the slump in trade, tho steamer Kawatiri is being laid up. Iho members of the crew are returning to Auckland by the Mahenp, where they will be paid off. —Press Absii. The Wanaka ; B not due from Sydney, via southern portß, until Tuesday. Sho will sail on Wednesday for Sydney and Newcastle. Tho Regulus is due on Tuesday from Picton, and is to sail the same day for Nelson, Westport, and Greymouth. The Ngahero is to proceed to Greymouth about Tuesday. Mr. C. J. F Hadfield, first mate of the Karamu, has gone on holiday, and Mr. N. Hazard has joined in his stead. The Opua. due from Wellington to-day. Is to sail later for Greymouth. She will take up the Orepuki’s running in the Lyttelton-Rreymouth trade while that vessel is under overhaul The Kapuni. which has been under overhaul. should resume in the Picton running on Monday. The John is to leave Wanganui to-day for Dunedin, Oamaru, and Lyttelton, to load for Wellington and Wanganui. She is due here ou Thursday, and should Bail for Wanganui the following day.
