Decisions of interest to patrons of the municipal baths were made by the City Council at its meeting last night. The council resolved: —“(1) That in order to overcome the overcrowding complained of at the ladies’ baths, Te Aro, the use of the ladies’ baths be limited on Saturday afternoons to persons 15 years of ago and over: (2) That the use of concession tickets for admission to the Te Aro Baths on Sundays from noon be discontinued, and a cash charge made for admission.” An inspection is to be made of the material contained in the Thorndon Baths, and if it is found suitable for removal and re-erection at EviMls Kay tenders are to bo invited for the work. Tn its report to the City Council last night the Finance Committee recom mended that no further action should b» taken now with reference to the pro posal to acquire land at Derwent Street Island Bay, for depot) purposes.
