At a sitting of the Petone Court, over which Messrs. J. W. M'Ewhn nnd J. Ken*, J.P.’s, presided yesterday, Frederick George Flowers and Sydney Kenny were each, on the application of the police, made the subject of a prohibition order. . Permits for the erection of buildings, nnd additions to same, to the total value of 418333. were issued in the borough of Tower Hutt during August. For the portion of the year up to August 31. the total value of permit’s issued was .£25,543, the f-es accruing to the council amounting to <£7l.
