QUDEN'S THEATRE. Appreciative/houses are daily witnessing, at the Queen’s Theatre, the screening of “The Stolen Kiss,” a lavishly •taged adaptation of the unique romance embodied in the famous novel "Little Miss By-the-Day,” with Miss Constance Binney in the central role. EMPRESS THEATRE. The story of a man whose principles prove stronger than the fear of death is told in “The Victim,” which heads the current programme at the Empress Theatre. The picture is presented by arrangement with the Catholic Art Association of New York. Snooky, the wonderful monkey, is starred in "Beat It.” As the King’s Theatre is temporarily closed, its fine orchestra has been transferred to the Empress, and may be heard there at the 8 t>.m. sessions. Miss Rosa Valyda’s singing is another feature. * EVERYBODY’S THEATRE. "Respectable by Proxy" features the delightful Sylvia Dreamer, who has appeared in so many charming comedies of the shadow stage. The supporting programme includes a farcical comedy. COLOSSEUM RINK. ’ Patrons of the Vivian Street rink are manifesting considerable interest in the carnival that is to be held about the end of the present month. It will take the form of a fancy dress, evening dross, and poster masquerade. Substantial prizes will be olfered. Large attendances are still attracted daily to the rink, and beginners are availing themselves of ths instruction provided by the competent »taff. There is orchestral music at the night sessions to add to the pleasure of skating. CONCERT AT KHANDALLAH, On I'riday evening an ovcellent concert was given in the Khandallah Town Hall under the auspices of tho Onslow Progressive Association. The programme was arranged by Mt. Gilmore. Songs went contrbuted by Mrs. Bath and Messrs. Tifrney, Gilmore, and Meek, and recitations by Miss Page and Mr. Spencer. Mr. Rodney Pankhurst acted ns accompanist. During the evening Mr. Hodgson explained tlie objects of the progressive Association. They intend to provide a swimming pool for the children of Khandallah and Ngaio. and Air. Strong expressed the necessity for it and the work necessary ♦or its completion. The concert was followed by a dance, which was well attended.
