WAIRARAPA BOWLING CENTRE
SECTIONS DECIDED. From Our Own Correspondent. Carterton, September 9. The Wairarapa Bowling Centre held a ppecial meeting at Greytown last evening when it was decided that a north and south section be played, and that if Carterton enters four rinks for each section no restriction be placed on the selection of players. The southern sections are to play home-and-hoino matches, and the northern section to play on. the one g It was further decided that the Booth Cup bo allotted the winners, and the shield to the runners-up of tho centre competitions. The Wellington Centre is to be asked if it could meet tha Wairarapa Centre in a six-rink match at Cnrterton. The Carterton delegates were appointed to draw up the northern fixtures, and Featherston delegates the southern fixtures'. The competitions are to start on November 5. and the second round on the first Saturday in February. It was announced that the Masterton Club intended putting in two sections of four, and tho Masterton Park one section. The Carterton Club intimated its intention to nominate three rinks for tiie northern section, and four for tho southern section, with a restriction that the club has tho right to select its rinks from all playing members. It was resolved that the centre meetings bo held alternately at Carterton and Greytown.
