BOARD’S AWARD CAT’SPS SENSATION TN LONDON. (Rec. September 9, 5.5 p.m.) London, September 9. There was a sensation on tho London Stock Exchange ns the result of. the Ottawa Arbitration Board’s decision that Grand Trunk Railway stock is without value, and stocks in London collapsed. Whereas preference and ordinary stock were valued at £4,700,090 on Wednesday, they fell io £2,395,000 on Thunsday. First preference stock is now quoted at £25, second at £l4 10s., third at £B, and ordinary’nt £2 10?. 'V’v- nominal value of the stock is ’37,073,000 dollars. Tiie city is indignant nt the manner tho Award Board proposes to treat shareholders,. and will appeal io the Canadian Government to treat stockholders with fairness.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
