FALSE DECLARATIONS
A MAGISTRATE’S WARNING. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wai pawn, September 9. In a case against an old-age pensioner, who was charged with making a false declaration, the Registrar of Pensions said that cases of this kind were occurring all over the country, and the Department was resolved that they must bo checked. Applicants for certificates must make a true . statement of their position. The Magistrate, in recording a conviction, eaid he would not hesitate to impose imprisonment in similar oases in future.
