“THE LADDER OF LIVES ’
Some 203 persons attended a lecture given in the Town Hall Concert Chamber last evening by Mr. Vivian H. R. Beacon, on “The Ladder of Lives.” Mr. Deacon, -who author of “Psychology in Economics” and other works in nrose and verse, announced himeclf as head of the Church Universal, a. newly-organised body of "students of truth.” In the course of his lecture he gave an outline of evolution, from the pMnt of view of spiritual science, contending that there were finer realms than we •\vorß cognisant of within . our phj bleal senses.- "There were faculties in man yet to be evolved, even as we had in trie past gradually evolved onr present senses. Man was something to bo snrpiused-the coal was tho super-man. The lecturer quoted the Scriptures in support of his contention that, some ncoplc were spiritually endowed to receive special wisdom from a Divine cource. During the evening appropriate solos were given by Misses Elsfe and Doreen Harper.
