UPPER HUTT COURT
The monthly sitting of the Loner Hutt Magistrate's Court was held yesterday, Mr F. K. Hunt. S.M., presiding. _ . Charges of behaving on a tram in au offensive manner to the annoyance or tho passengers, and attempting l to push a railway porter out of the carnage on to tho pintform, thereby endangering his life, were preferred against R. M. Donohue, who pleaded not guilty. After hearing tho evidence, the Magistrate dismissed the more serious charge, and fined defendant 10s.. with costs £1 3s. Bd.. on the. first information. Convicted and discharged and ordered to nav 7s. costs for retailing milk which contained less than the standard percentage of solids other limn fat, David Inglis was fined £5 and 17s. 6d. costs for selling milk containing 19 per cent, ol added "*On r each of two charges of permitting stock to wander Alfred Southey was lined ss. and 7s. coats. Judgment for nlalnt.iff by default was given.in the following undefended civil actions: D. M. Armstrong v. A. G. Laurens. £< 13b. 6d.. costs £1 10s. 6d.: C. E. Mugridge v. A. G. Laurens. £36 9s. 6d., costs £3 3s. 6d.: D. B. Grant v. H. Taylor, £l, costs 135.: J. A. Hazelwood v. —. Brown, £7 155., costs £2 19s.
