DEMAND FOR AUTUMN SESSION. London, July 26.
There is considerable opposition to the Government’s determination not to hold an autumn session, on the ground that it is undesirable that vital questions like those of Ireland, the financial position, and the Washington conference should be left entirely to Executive Council control without Parliamentary supervision. Mr. Austen Chamberlain said that, if necessary, Parliament would be summoned to deal with the Irish situa-tion.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
