In the Magistrate’s Court to-day Flora Ellen Waite was committed for sentence for having disposed of the dead body of her child, with intent to conceal its birth. The case is a sequel to t'he finding of the charred body of a male infant in a furnace at Mount Eden gaol on July 17. A doctor stated that he could not tell whether tho child had breathed, but accused informed him that it. was stillborn.
