WRECKAGE FOUND NEAR NEW PLYMOUTH
By Telegraph— Press Association. New Plymouth, July 27. Wreckage has been washed on the beach near New Plymouth. A large niece of decking has been fouud which appeal’s to have come from the starboard bow of a vessel of fair size. The piece measures 40 feet by 15 feet, and is fixed to a number of 10-inch by 10-inch beams Other beams and deck planking wero scattered along the beach within about 100 yards of where the. large piece of wreckage was found. Ihe wood is Oregon and the planking is fixed to the beams by galvanised iron spikes 9 inches long and naif on inch square. No marks are visible on any of the material found that would give any indication as to its identity. Those who have examined lhe wreckage estimate that it has not been in the water longer than six or seven reeks. —
