WAR TROPHIES
EXHIBITION IN MASTERTON. By Telegraph—Special Oorreepondent. Masterton, July 2<. A war trophies exhibition, under the patronace of the Defence Department was opened in the Drill Hall this afto noon bv the Mayor (Mr. 0. N. C. I rag nell). Colonel C. W. Melville, C.B CMG D S 0., officer in command or the central military 'istrict emphasised tho value of the exhibition from an educational standpoint, as apart from its historical associations. lhe exhibition is supported by tho Rational Defence League and the local blanch of the Ladies’ Efficiency League, under the presidency of Mrs. G. H. Jackson. There was a largo attendance at the hall all this afternoon. This monnng tho exhibits were shown to the pupils of the Masterton District High School, and tomorrow the children of the suburban schools will be accorded the same privilege.
