GREAT MEETING AT BOSTON. (Reo. July 25 0.15 a.m.) New York July 23. At Boston, the combined Harvard and Yalo Universities’ team won eight out of ten events in tho athletic meeting with tho Cambridge and Oxford team. Rudd (Oxford) won the 440 yards run, Stallard (Cambridge) the one mile. The Americans won the 100 yards, 120 yards hurdles. 880 yards, two miles, high jump, broad jump, putting the shot, and throwing the hammer. Harvard iron five events. Ned Gourdin, Harvard’s negro athlete, set a new world’s record with a running broad jump of 25 feet 3 inches.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
