ABERTILLERY MURDER
VERDICT OF CORONER'S JURY. (Rec. July 23, 5.5 p.m.) London, July 22. Tho , Coroner’s jury which inquired into tho death at Abertillery of Florence Little returned a verdict of wilful murder figiiinst Jones. Throughout tho Id-year-old boy took copious notes of the evidence, and continually consulted his solicitor. He was quite calm and unmoved while his mother gave evidence of his having had a bath and being found without a shirt, which he explained had accidentally diopped into the water. —Aus.-N.Z. [Harold Jones was arrested at Abertillery, Monmouthshire, and charged witlu murdering Florence Little, aged eleven years, whose body, which had been outraged and the throat cut, was found hidden in an attic in Jonos 8 home after several thousand people, including Jone's and his father, had fruitlessly searched all night for the missing girl in neighbouring fields. Jonos was previously acquitted at the Monmouthshire Assizes by a jury, including five women, on a charge of murdering Freda Btunoli, aged nine, who disappeared after going on an errand to a shop tn Abertillery, where Jones was employed.)
