KAIKOURA TO SAIL SUNDAY. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Kaikoura arrived from Gisborne yesterday to complete Homeward loading. Rhe is timed to sail for Loudon at daybreak on Sunday. MOERAKI TO LAY UP. A wireless message from the Moeraki states that she expected to make port at six o’clock tills morning. She will berth later if granted a clean hill of health, at No. 6 Queen’s Wharf. On completion of discharge here she will lay up. The Blenheim, Rosamond, Poherua. and Kowha! are already laid up in Wellington. THE POET CAROLINE. The C. and D. liner Port Caroline, which has been held up in Wellington for some weeks past, will move to the Railway Wharf to-day. She is expected to sail for Australian ports to complete Homeward loading about July 22. From Australia she will go to London, via the Cape of Good Hope. WIRELESS FROM THE PAPAROA. A wireless message received by the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the Paparoa, from London, is due at Auckland at 1 o’clock to-morrow afternoon. MAHIA LEAVES COLON. The S.S. and A. liner Mahia. which sailed from Napier for London on June 18, left Colon in continuation of her voyage on Saturday last. THE CANADIAN PLANTER. The Canadian Planter is duo on Sunday from Auckland. It is now expected that she will be dispatched from here for Lyttelton on July 21, and consequently her sailing date for Boston, Now York, and Montreal from Lyttelton has been altered to July 26. CANTERBURY STEAMSHIP CO.’S STEAMERS. The Karu arrived from Lytteton last night. Her departure for Picton and Lyttelton has been postponed until to-mor-row. The Storm is expected from Wanganui on Tuesday with wool for transhipment. to the barque Rewa. She wiH sail on Wednesday for Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. The Calm has been delayed at Port Chalmers, and will be the next steamer of this line after the Storm. She is due towards the beginning of the week. TAHITI DUE SATURDAY. The R.M.S. Tahiti is due on Saturday from San Francisco, and will sail on Monday for Sydney, taking up the Moeraki’s running. ■ MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. H. P. MurtrJe. assistant purser of the Wingatui, has left that vessel. Mr. E. B. Atkinson has joined the Koranui as second mute, vice Mr. S. E. Martin. Captain 11. S. Hilton, commander of the Canadian Government Line steamer Canadian Prospector, has been appointed master of the new liner Canadian Skirmisher, which is due in New Zealand from Vancouver shortly. . Captain E. H. Evans is now m command of the Shire liner Berwickshire. He was formerly chief officer of the steamer Argyllshire.
