UNWELCOME VISITOR
"A NUISANCE TO RELATIVES.” "This man has been a nuisance to his relatives. He was a deserter during tho war. and did time. Ho is a waster of the worst kind.” These were the comments of Mr. A. B. Sievwright in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, when Albert Leary was charged with wilfully damaging a pane of glass, value £2, tho property of Elizabeth Mary Ward. The complainant is the sister of tho accused. Tho evidence showed that Ward and his wife quarrelled, and that the accused stepped in and said ho would protect his sister. Ho took up his residence there, and ordered Ward out of the house. Ward, it appeared, was anxious to return homo, but was afraid to do so while his brother-in-law remained there. Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., who heard tho case, convicted Leary, and ordered him bn como up for sentence when called upon. A prohibition order by consent, was issued against him. and the Magistrate warned him to get out of his sister’s house, where he was not wanted, •nd to remain out.
