Johnsonville Yards, 2 p.m.—Stock sale. THE WOOL MARKET SALE AT HULL. London, July 8, The Bradford market is quiet, awaiting Monday’s sales. Twenty thousand hales of B.A.W.R.A. wool were offered at Hull on Friday. Merinos declined 10 per cent., and crossbreds were sold at par to 5 per cent, lower, prices for both descriptions being as compared with last London sales. Three-quarters of the offering was sold, French and Belgian buyers taking the hulk of the catalogue.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. SYDNEY SALES OPEN. (Rec. July 11, 9.5 p.m.) Sydney, July IL The first series of the 1921-22 wool sales were opened to-day. Yorkshire, French, Japanese, and Gorman buyers competed keenly. Good merinos were cheaper, but fine crossbreds were a shade dearer. —Press Assn.

"Butter.—Market firm. "We quote Danish 2145. to 2245.; New Zealand, 1935. to 2005.; Australian, 140 s. to 180 s.; Board, of Trade have advanced Now Zealand prices to 2205., and Australian 1755. to 2005.; but no sales have been made at the advance.
