Prices ranged from the B.A.W.R.A. rates to 10 per cent, better, in isolated cases averaging perhaps 5 per cent. Pieces were neglected. Best lambs brought 6Jd. to 7d., line crossbred up to 6d., and medium up to lt is estimated that SO per cent, of the offering of 6620 bales was sold. 80 PE® CENT. OF OFFERING SOLD. The absence of American competition resulted in good wools falling in price a lialfpenny to three-farthings compared with last sale. Prices generally wore on parity with the May sale, some classes declining slightly and others improving. The rates generally compared favourably with those realised at Wellington. Oats are scarcely so firm as they were a fortnight ago, although values remain practically tho same. Tho xoplanation of the lack of inquiry is probably the breaking of tho drought in England. Tho jx>tato market is weaker. Over-consigning from Canterbury is depressing the market in Auckland. Quotations for spread! delivery have receded' to £3 15s. f.o.b. 5.1., which is practically equal to X2 10s. per ton at country stations. Another factor is that tho later dry crops are turning out better than the early ones. There is a brighter tono in the seed market. Dressed white clover has been a medium of business at 1905., equal to Is. 2d. Io Is. 3d. undressed. Cowgrass, dressed, has bean sold at 955., equal to about Bd. per lb. undressed. Linseodi has been selling to a slight extent at reduced values. Quotations axe up to £l2 for good average quality andi _CI3 for very gr.od.
