IMPORTANT EXTENSION WORKS. (Rec. July 9, 1.25 a.m.) London, July 7. Their Majesties will open a new duck extending the Victoria and Albert system to-morrow. This is the largest work so far undertaken by tha Port of London Authority, mid will enable 30,(MX)-ton vessels to berth within 6i miles of the heart of the city. It provides a wet dock of 61 acres, and a depth of 38 feel . There fire fourteen berths for the largest steamers, also a dry dock. 750 feet long, capable of extension. —Reuter.
