FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for moderate to strong easterly wind a northwards of Kawhia and Fast Cape, and variable breezes, with north-westerlies prevailing soon elsewhere. The weather t» likely to continue fair to cloudy, but unsettled at times in the West Coast a.nd southernmost districts of the South Island. Barometer little movement, but unsteady in the southern districts. Anti-cyclonio conditions have ruled, and the weather has been cold and fair to cloudy generally, with southerly and westerly breezes predominating. 5. C. BATES, o Director.
